What is Yamagandam?
Yamagandam is a daytime period traditionally considered unfavorable for beginning major new work. It is widely checked in South Indian Panchang and daily timing practice.
How Yamagandam is calculated
The daytime from sunrise to sunset is divided into eight equal parts. A fixed weekday rule selects one part as Yamagandam for that day.
